News from the SkyCenterMt. Lemmon SkyCenter is invited to join in KUAT/KUAZ's 2009
fall membership drive as a featured local educational outreach activity
for the Tucson area. Tune in during morning rush hour (7-8am) on
Tuesday, Oct. 20. Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter designated by NASA as one of the 21
official observation sites for the lunar impact (LCROSS) mission on
Oct. 10. Check out the short video
on local TV channel KOLD. Summer SkyCenter programs featured in UANews.
Once again, a SkyCenter photo is selected as NASA's "Astronomy Picture of the Day". This one is the emission nebula NGC 6559 in Sagittarius, and is featured for August 2, 2009!
Adam Block's SkyNights program is featured in the June 2009 issue of Astronomy magazine.
