Astro Amore: A Starry-Eyed Night above Tucson

Jan. 16, 2019

The stars have long influenced humanity into weaving stories of love and romance. Before the internet, social media, Snapchat, and Tinder, ancient peoples looked up at the sky and invented stories from the shapes they saw to impress their lover.

Spend a romantic evening high above the city lights at the summit of Mt. Lemmon. Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter’s special Astro Amore evening begins with a scenic sunset, dinner, followed by a celestial viewing of awe-inspiring objects with our world-class telescope. Treat your Valentine to the heavens above and gaze up at the stars, constellations, and other heavenly bodies that commemorate the stories of love as told by ancient cultures around the world. Join us at the Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter on either February 14th or February 15th for stunning views of the Tucson valley at sunset and breath-taking views of the skies above at night. On February 16th, we are hosting a bilingual program as well. At 9,137 feet, experience the stars as they were meant to be seen with your special someone. The program includes a presentation, a dinner, and an occasion not to be forgotten.

Give your love a one-of-a-kind experience, sure to be remembered!
