Rob McGehee, Sky School Assistant Director of Education, talked on the radio about the unique K-12 programming that UA runs atop Mt. Lemmon

Rob McGehee, Assistant Director for the U of A Sky School, shared stories from Mt. Lemmon's multidisciplinary education program on KVOI's "Jump In Tucson" radio show.

"The Sky Center, located at the summit of Mount Lemon, is this really unique environment," McGehee says. "We have an opportunity to work with students to learn about the ecosystem here, which is unlike anything you get in the city, in Tucson. It's an ideal place for astronomy."

McGehee also credits grad students with helping make the K-12 Sky School programs rich and interesting for the participants. "Graduate students are really the heart of the success of our program . . .  They are they're a bridge to these younger populations, inviting them to experience nature, to to study science, to get connected with all of the scientific research that's being done at U of A."
